MUSSOORIE: The death of two stray cows and a dog that were killed by a leopard in the Company Garden area in the past 10 days have caused panic among residents.
Unusual at this time of the year, the attack on a street dog late on Sunday night has added to the scare. Kushla Pundir, 62, who owns a cow, said that she was scared to take her cow for grazing.
“I heard the dog whimper and other dogs howl and knew it was the leopard again. We have been living in constant fear of attacks,” she said.
Gajendra Dutt Gour, forester told TOI, that they have confirmed the sightings from two people who saw the female leopard with two cubs.
SHO Mussoorie, Bhawana Kainthola, plans to write a letter about the attacks and meet the DFO regarding the same.
